We are The Mission Planet…
… a global movement driven by two best friends on a mission to protect animals, empower people, and inspire change.
Every mission is designed to show what ordinary people can do when they choose to care - and to invite the world to be part of that change.
A glimpse into the world we’re building…
Why We Exist
Independently Raised
For Charities Globally
The Mission Planet was born from a simple belief that ordinary people, when they care deeply enough, can spark extraordinary change.
We had no name, no brand or plan, we were just two mates who cared.
Our first mission was to raise funds for a small animal sanctuary in Thailand that meant something to us personally. We filmed everything with just our hearts and a camera.
That spark lit a fire. What began as one fundraiser became a way of life - blending action, physical challenge, and cinematic storytelling to support causes that matter: animal welfare, mental health awareness and community empowerment.
But The Mission Planet was never just about us. From the start, it’s always been about the people and animals whose stories we tell, and the beautiful community that rises with them.
Today, we are a global movement. From Thailand to England, Egypt to India, we carry this mission across cultures and continents, grounded in one simple belief:
If you care enough, you can take action - right where you are, with what you have.
We honour the lives we meet, the lessons they teach us, and the global community who joins us along the way.
This isn’t just our story. It’s an invitation to be part of the change our world so desperately needs.

In Their Words…
Dharamsala Animal Rescue
"When I first met Rohan, I was struck by his compassion and his refusal to simply accept the norm. He wanted to make a real difference. And when he told me he planned to visit Dharamsala Animal Rescue as part of his effort to raise funds for India's street dogs, I felt so deeply grateful. Since then, I've come to know him even better. Rohan is an incredibly empathetic soul who gives his all, whether it's running an 80-mile run to raise funds, or traveling to countries where stray animals face cruelty and neglect, offering hands-on help. If The Mission Planet represents the younger generation, then there is true hope for a kinder, better world."
— Deb Jarrett, CEO & Founder
The Humane Animal Society
"What these two young men of Team Mission Planet, Rohan Mahan and Tom Dunn, strive to accomplish through their life and work is indeed noble and selfless. Their approach of delivering a strong narrative clubbed with visuals of powerful story-telling is helping to raise awareness about the plight of sentient creatures across the globe and the challenges faced by charities who strive hard to make a difference in their lives. I wish Mission Planet all success!"
— Dr. Mini Vasudevan, Founder
TNR Sherouk
"Just over a year ago our rescue and TNR group in Cairo had the pleasure of spending the day with these two amazing founders - Rohan and Tom - of Mission Planet. Their love, compassion, interest, kindness and warmth just oozed from them. We took them on a feeding trip around our city to meet our wonderful street dogs, and they truly connected to each and every dog they met and fed. The photos and footage they took spoke more than a thousand words. We wish them all the luck and success in the world and we are waiting for their next trip to Egypt. Lots of love, Your Sherouk family"
— Tracey Sedky, TNR Sherouk

The Mission Planet is a UK-registered Community Interest Company (CIC) based in Stratford-upon-Avon. We are a global storytelling and action-led movement that uses cinematic media, endurance fundraisers, and grassroots partnerships to support animal welfare, mental health awareness, and positive community impact.
From wellness clubs and short documentaries, to ultra-endurance events and positive media content. Our work blends physical action with emotional storytelling - helping people take meaningful steps toward a more compassionate and connected world.
-
All donations go directly to supporting our community interest mission. That includes:
Funding grassroots animal sanctuaries across the world (e.g., Thailand, India, Egypt)
Supporting TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and dog welfare programmes
Producing powerful short films and documentaries that raise awareness for causes such as disability awareness and human resilience
Delivering physical fundraising events and community led wellness initiatives
Expanding our digital community platform (newsletter, podcast, YouTube, etc.)
We’re fully transparent and publish regular updates on our Impact Page with how funds are used.
-
We’re not a charity - we’re a Community Interest Company (CIC). That means:
We’re legally bound to reinvest profits into community benefit.
We can still receive donations, sponsorships, and grants, but we’re also sustainable through merchandise and creative content.
We focus on long-term change through action, storytelling, and global partnerships, not just fundraising alone.
This gives us the agility of a creative studio with the heart of a mission-driven movement.
-
We focus on three main areas:
Animal Welfare - Rescue missions, medical care, adoption awareness, and TNR across India, Egypt, Thailand, and beyond.
Mental Health & Physical Resilience – Especially among young people and those falling victim to the digital pandemic of today
Compassion and acceptance of all races, genders and abilities - Creating powerful short films, podcasts, and documentaries that amplify voices and inspire action globally
-
We’re proudly rooted in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, but our mission is global.
Our recent storytelling and impact has extended through Thailand, India, Egypt, the UK, and beyond. Wherever stories need to be told, and lives need to be supported, we will be. -
Absolutely. We’re now welcoming values-aligned sponsors to support our podcast, films, or endurance fundraisers.

Animals are at the heart of our mission - but not the whole of it.
The Mission Planet exists to honour all life: human and animal. Alongside our dog rescue and animal welfare efforts, we also champion:
Mental Health Awareness through storytelling, physical challenges, and community events
Disability Awareness & Youth Empowerment via fundraising campaigns, inspirational media, and role-modelling resilience
Emotional and Physical Wellbeing through endurance challenges, wellness education, and positive habit-building community events
Cultural Celebration through documentaries that spotlight underrepresented communities
Our goal is holistic. To honour all life - human and animal - and tell the stories that often go unheard
